Blood donations are always needed at hospitals across our country. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, blood donations became even more critical for patients everywhere.
The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina has partnered with the American Red Cross, hosting several blood drives at branches across our association in an attempt to meet the ever-increasing demand for blood supply.
Throughout 2022, we hosted 60 blood drives across our association. These drives included 1,567 donors whose donations will go on to save or impact 4,701 lives.
