The Winston Lake Family YMCA is in the heart of the East Winston community. Here, we are committed to making your experience at the Y the best possible. We offer a family-oriented atmosphere and activities for people of all ages. When you walk through these doors, you become a part of that family. Our offerings include sports, aquatics, after school academy, day camps during the summer, a wellness center, group exercise classes, and personal training.

38th Annual Mistletoe Run

The Mistletoe Half Marathon, 5K, and Fun Run is back! This year we’ll be both in person and there will be a virtual option – whichever you choose!


Youth Basketball is an exciting sport that combines team play and individual skills. With youth basketball, every child has a chance to participate in practices and games!


We have numerous group exercise options here at the Winston Lake Family YMCA - for all levels of fitness!

Dr. Harvey Allen

Dr. Harvey Allen recalls his parents taking him to the Patterson Avenue Y. Some of his earliest memories of the Y are in its swimming pool. “I learned to swim at the Y when I was young,” he recalls. “I also went to the Y after school. The people there were always helpful and ready to encourage you. Mo Lucas was there, helping kids keep on the straight and narrow.
